Low Cost Option for Children's Clothing, ThredUp Review + Giveaway

I’m a huge cheap skate when it comes to purchasing clothing for my baby. I’m torn between wanting him to look his cutest but not wanting to throw a ton of money into clothing that he’ll only wear a few months. In the younger years, children just grow so fast and their clothing doesn’t fit for very long. It doesn’t make sense to spend a bunch of money on clothing for this reason. For this reason, most of Wyatt’s clothing comes from thrift stores or yard sales.
I have found some great finds at the thrift store but unfortunately those finds are few and far between. Its very time consuming to sort through racks of clothing to find undamaged, cute, quality clothing. I recently discovered ThredUp, an online consignment store that offers quality, name brand clothing at bargain prices. I love that they’ve done the sorting for me, saving me hours at the second hand store. ThredUp only offers clothing in really good condition and their prices are fabulous. I spend $20 on their site and received the following items:

  • 18 Mo – Children’s Place Bathing Suit Trunks
  • 18 mo – Nickelodeon Short-sleeve T-shirt with matching shorts
  • 18-24 Mo – Gymboree Sweatpant
  • 18-24 Mo – Old Navy Corduroy Pant

I was really happy with everything that came and the price was perfect. Included in my order was a bag in which I could send in my used children’s clothing and they will pay you up to 40% of its value, upfront!. Seriously, this is so much easier than trying to sell each item online or at a garage sale.Typically, I donate the clothing we out grow to our church, so I probably won’t send anything in, but its a great idea! If you spend $50.00 on their site, shipping is free! I wish they had larger sizes for my older boys as they have the easiest online consignment store for both buying and selling that I’ve ever encountered.
